Another successful cleaning with the Tank Cleaning Robot was performed by Inter Terminals at Stigsnæs. Inter Terminals' crew was able to clean the required area of the inner shell of a 40 m (diameter) tank within half a day. The cleaning was necessary as a preparation for a steel inspection.
This was a job that would normally require scaffolding or extensive and inventive use of lances and ropes.
The Tank Cleaning Robot can be applied to a variety of tank cleaning jobs and eliminates the need for scaffolding and reduces manpower to a two-person team.
